- Compensation includes a base salary of $55,000 - $70,000 plus generous bonus.

Position Overview
The Loan Officer provides critical administrative and transaction support to the underwriting team. This fast-paced role coordinates mortgage fundings, liaises with legal partners, and ensures files are processed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with service standards. The Loan Officer plays a key role in delivering a seamless funding experience for broker partners through strong communication and attention to detail. Success in this role requires precision, responsiveness, professionalism, and a commitment to collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate, timely and efficient processing of mortgage files in varies stages of the mortgage life cycle.
- Accurately prepare and forward instructions to our legal counsel within established SLA.
- Track closing dates and underwriting conditions to resolve issues or outstanding documentation to ensure timely funding.
- Support the sales managers, underwriting team and accounting team to deliver an efficient, high-quality funding experience for broker partners.
- Manage broker communications by providing timely updates and general information.
- Have flexibility for over-time during peak periods.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- 1–3 years of exposure to mortgages, banking, or conveyancing, with high-volume administration and strong attention to detail.
- Post-Secondary education with an emphasis on business administration, finance or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain mortgage broker certification within six months.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and sense of accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
Compensation
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
